"The only person who can pull us down is ourselves, and I'll never, ever give myself permission to pull me down again."

Anchor 1

Self-love is so important, because it motivates much of our positive behavior while reducing harmful behavior.

Relationships
"Love is a game that two can play and both win."

When it comes to relationships, none of us are spared from the periods of intense stress or conflict that comes with been in one. Just ask anyone who experienced a broken heart and they’ll tell you. The pain that comes from a relationship going through difficulty or one which has ended, will bring us to our knees quicker than anything. This can have a detrimental affect and threaten the stability, life and quality of each partners life. However, if we can master communication in our relationship, we will be far less likely to experience other common relationship problems.

Anxiety

Anxiety
“I am here, I am now, and I am well.”

Anxiety, one of the most common mental health challenges we can face in life. one where, the fear is real, but the danger is not. Every one of us will have feelings of anxiety at some point in our lives. Some experiences are extremely severe, frightening and can hold us hostage. CBT teaches us with anxiety how to approach our anxious feelings and thoughts differently.

Depression

Depression
"Our heart hides so many wounds that never bleed."

Depressive disorder (also known as depression) is a common mental disorder. It involves a depressed mood or loss of pleasure or interest in activities for long periods of time. Depression is different from regular mood changes and feelings we all experience in our everyday lives. Understood the right way it often gives us the time and desire to reflect more deeply about our lives and life path. It provide us an opportunity to make some positive changes in our lives,”

The most important thing to know & remember, move a muscle you'll change a thought.

There are wounds that never show on the body that run far deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.

Woman Working in Modern Office

“We know only too well what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean, However, You, You are far more than a drop in the ocean...

I have struggled with anxiety since I was a teenager, so and when I first met with Martin I truly hoped he could help me manage and overcome it. With Martin’s help I would no longer consider myself an anxious person. The great news is, I don’t experience anxiety on daily basis like I used to when I first started therapy. It has allowed me to finally be myself, without anxiety preventing me from doing things or making me act in ways that I felt ashamed afterwards and this would exacerbate my anxiety even worse. Today, I am now able to be fully present in my relationships and experiences, without worrying about the future or the past, while talking to people or doing things. If anxiety is preventing you from working, attending social events, or just being able to be present in your own life, I couldn't reccomend Martin and Chara Counselling enough. My only regret, I wished I'd of went to therapy sooner.
